As time passes, we are especially committed to recording the stories of Korean and Vietnam War veterans, whose voices are at risk of being lost. At the same time, we are expanding this effort to include veterans of all wars and backgrounds, with a focused commitment to uplifting the experiences of women, LGBTQ+ veterans, and AfroLatino communities.
We also warmly invite the families of veterans to participate, recognizing that their perspectives are essential to preserving these legacies.
Oral histories will be collected in two ways:
• One-on-one interviews
• Community group gatherings
The Museum is a safe and welcoming space for veterans and their families. We deeply appreciate the opportunity to listen, learn, and honor your stories.
If you or a loved one would like to participate, please reach out to Dr. Michelle Tovar (michelle.tovar@buffalosoldiersmuseum.org) or Jason Fung (archive@buffalosoldiersmuseum.org).
