This fall, the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum welcomes Morgan Bettin-Coleman as an archives intern. Morgan will work closely with Archivist Jason Fung to learn the museum’s archival practices while strengthening her skills as a public historian.
Morgan is an ABD History Ph.D. candidate at Rice University. Her dissertation examines African American perceptions of Native American identity during the long nineteenth century, including the complex relationships between Buffalo Soldiers and Indigenous peoples during the Indian Wars. We are excited to have her contribute her research interests and historical expertise to the museum this fall.
